The phrase “age can be deceiving” now applies to the new Yankee Stadium. After several investigations by construction companies, the concrete ramps at the new Yankee Stadium have been found to have deep cracks. The new state-of-the-art home of the Yankees has only been open for about seven months. The cost of building George Stienbrenner’s new palace cost the Yankees a total of $1.5 billion.

The New York Times has reported that both the Yankees are trying to see if there was anything wrong with the installation of the ramps or their design, when the stadium was first built.

The New York Yankees spokeswoman said that the ramps have been declared safe and pose no danger to fans that will be attending Game 6 in the Bronx. Among the fans in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series will be Cuban defector Aroldis Chapman.

The investigation on the Stadium’s ramps comes after owners of a construction company were wondering whether the cement used in the building of the New Yankee Stadium’s ramps was not tested when being mixed. The company that built the ramps has been accused of providing false results from tests.

The Yankees hired people to test the ramps to find out what the problem with their ramps are and how they can be fixed. The ramps carry thousands of fans throughout the games at the Stadium. The Yankees expect there to be more fans than usual as they could start preparations to host their first World Series in the building. The first hurdle in getting ready for a World Series, is disposing the Angels as they are set to take them on Sunday night at Yankee Stadium.

The only important part of this issue is just making sure that nobody get hurt. The Yankees want to avoid having damage to their stadium like in the past when the old Yankee Stadium had a structural defect that caused a part of the stadium to collapse. Only one person was injured in the accident.

The Yankees are doing all that they can to ensure safety for all their fans at Yankee Stadium and that is all that matters.
