COMMENTS

1

LA Angels of Anaheim

Pujols plus the pitching staff.

2

Philadelphia Phillies

Pitching can hold till Howard and Utley get back.

3

New York Yankees

Loaded and hungry after 2011 early exit.

4

Texas Rangers

Three times is a charm, and team is good.

5

Detroit Tigers

AL Central lacks much competition.

6

Arizona Diamondbacks

Can out hit the rest of the division.

7

Tampa Bay Rays

Pitching is dominant and Maddon knows how to win.

8

Boston Red Sox

Party is over in Beantown and Valentine is smart.

9

St. Louis Cardinals

The reining champs without Pujols, but with Wainwright.

10

San Francisco Giants

Pitching, pitching and more pitching.

11

Toronto Blue Jays

Finally in the AL East mix; watch out.

12

Miami Marlins

New name, ballpark and oodles of talent.

13

Atlanta Braves

Can this team be better 2011?

14

Cincinnati Reds

Lost closer for season.

15

Washington Nationals

Call up Harper and unleash the beast.

16

Cleveland Indians

Pitching will be their downfall.

17

Milwaukee Brewers

No Prince behind Braun.

18

Los Angeles Dodgers

Kemp and Kershaw can’t do it alone.

19

Kansas City Royals

Young talent, but lacks experience.

20

Baltimore Orioles

Same AL East, just a different season.

21

Colorado Rockies

Can’t win on the road.

22

Chicago White Sox

Biggest attraction went to Miami.

23

Minnesota Twins

Wonder what Mauer will hurt this season.

24

Chicago Cubs

On the up and up under Epstein, but lots to fix.

25

Pittsburgh Pirates

Will minor offseason moves work?

26

San Diego Padres

Lots of young talent but not established enough.

27

New York Mets

Selfish owner and team paying for it.

28

Seattle Mariners

Not enough power bats for AL West.

29

Oakland A’s

Offseason fire sale makes them irrelevant.

30

Houston Astros

Just a mess, moving to AL next season.
