New Idea: Trade Derek Jeter to the Red Sox

My original idea was to trade the Yankees captain to the Padres, but that idea was gone with the Yankees win-loss record. So now, I have a brand knew idea:

Trade the Yankee’s captain to the rival Red Sox.

Well, first off the Red Sox could really use a short stop (Julio Lugo?). Second, they have some great prospects I would love the Yankees to have.

Now, who would the Red Sox give the Yankees for Jeter?

I’m thinking Nick Green to replace Jeter at short, and two prospects: Michael Bowden, who impressed me against the Yankees, and Jeff Bailey, who homered in his first at-bat this season.

Bailey has won a plethora of awards in AAA, and Bowden throws with good mechanics.

Nick Green is just like Jason Bartlet of the Rays: Looks are deceiving. Green has good defense, but his offense looks mediocre. Bartlett got six MVP votes last year, more than Ichiro.

Could Green be Bartlett? Who knows, but this is a great idea.
